Biologic Deer Radish

Biologic Deer Radish food plot seed is a blend of two different varieties of radishes and a small percentage of New Zealand Brassica and can be planted by itself or added to BioLogic seed blends to further increase attraction. Through our research, we’ve determined BioLogic’s DEER-RADISH is among some of the most attractive food plots available. Whitetails love the highly nutritious forage and the long, sweet, nutrient-packed roots making this plant 100% consumable. BioLogic’s DEER-RADISH creates one of the most attractive food plots available.

How to Plant: DEER-RADISH is best planted by spreading the seed on a well-prepared seedbed at 8 lbs. per acre. If possible, use a cultipacker to help cover the seed and ensure good seed-to-soil contact. Broadcasting the seed on a well-prepared seedbed just prior to a rain also produces an excellent stand as the rain serves to bury the seed at the appropriate depth (1/4 inch) and ensures adequate soil moisture for germination. Disking is not a recommended method of covering the seed, as it will bury the seed too deep to allow germination. DEER-RADISH can be used to top-dress existing clover stands, adding several tons of nutritious forage during the fall. A mechanical grain drill is also an excellent method of planting.

When to Plant: DEER-RADISH is very hardy and will germinate in drier conditions than other common food plot crops; however, there must be some soil moisture available. Soil moisture is more critical than temperature. Plant early August in the North, and early September in the South.
