Non-Typical Frost Seeding Bundle
Frost seeding can be a great technique to get an early start to the spring growing season. This method is popular in areas where it is difficult to get a tractor to during the spring months. As long as you can get to the plot by ATV or on foot, this process is an option. With the help of a little fertilizer and maybe a selective herbicide, you can have perennials like BioLogic’s Non-Typical Clover that last for years with only hand equipment and this creative, but seldom used procedure. For a limited time (or while supplies last) we're offering you a 1/4 acre of BioLogic Non-Typical Clover + a commercial grade handheld seeder for $37.99!

There’s no denying the powerful attraction of clover for hungry whitetails and wild turkeys! After years of research we have finally developed one of the easiest to grow, most nutritious, clover blends on the market. BioLogic’s Non Typical Clover ™, is our exclusive large leaf white clover variety available only from Mossy Oak BioLogic. This clover planting has been extensively tested and chosen for its proven durability, nutrition, and attraction. Recent field trials have shown that Non Typical Clover ™ has a track record of quick stand establishment, aggressive stolon (stem) growth, heavy forage output, and long term stand persistence. Non Typical Clover can perform for 3-5 years with proper management including mowing, fertilization according to soil test, and weed control with herbicides.
How to Plant: Non-Typical Clover is best planted by spreading on a well-prepared seedbed at 8 lbs. per acre, then using a cultipacker to cover the seed. Broadcasting on a well-prepared seedbed just prior to rain also produces an excellent stand — the rain serves to bury the seed the appropriate depth (1/4 inch) and ensures adequate soil moisture for germination. Disking is not a recommended method of covering the seed as it would bury the seed too deep for germination. 4 lbs. per acre is recommended for existing perennial stands.
When to Plant In the south, plant Non- Typical Clover in early fall, as soon as soil moisture is sufficient for seed germination. Spring planting isn’t recommended; frequent summer drought conditions could limit root growth. In the north, plant Non Typical Clover in the spring when soil temperature is 50° or higher and soil moisture is sufficient. Fall planting isn’t recommended; frost may occur before root systems are established. This blend can also be frost-seeded in the spring.
